The album containing Dezső Bozóky's travelphotos (second). Related item: A.4760.2. (album). Unknown photographer. Photograph purchased by Dezső Bozóky. This well-off young couple posed for their portrait in winter wear. The woman wears a silk brocade coat, with the edges of her fur-lined fingerless mittens (dosi) sticking out from underneath the sleeves. She has a winter hat (nambawi) on, with a characteristic tassel adorned with pearls. The ornamental end of her hairpin is visible by her neck, and the pair of rings on her left hand indicates she is married. She wears fine shoes with upturned toes. Her husband wears a lined coat and thick winter shoes. Luck-giving plants were placed on the studio’s table: a bunch of peonies for wealth and fame, and two pine twigs for a long life.
