The fifth volume of the series Asian Culture for the Young presents the world of horse riding nomads of Mongolia. The book mainly for children contains general information (like explanation of the symbols of the national flag or introducing Mongolian language and ethnic groups) as well as gives insight into nomadic lifestyle and Mongolian everyday life. Religion, folk customs, and national holydays are also described. Beside presenting traditional artistic genres, Buddhist and contemporary art is mentioned. Finally, the children’s world is evoked by Mongolian tales and plays.
