DAD'S LUNCH BOX (Papa no obento wa sekaiichi) | Film screening in Japanese, with English subtitles

We invite you for a Friday afternoon movie screening - in Japanese, with English subtitles.

It is a programme organised in cooperation with Japan Foundation, Budapest.

The film is a movie adaptation of a true story which was re-Tweeted by 80,000 people and liked by 260,000 people on Twitter. At the helm is Fukatsu Masakazu, who have worked on music videos of andymori, ONE OK ROCK, among others. Throughout the three years of high school, Midori (Takeda Rena) ate the bento lunch her dad (Watanabe Toshimi) made for her every single day. And in the very last bento of high school, Midori finds a photo of "the first high school bento" along with a hand written letter from her Dad.

About the director:
Masakazu Fukatsu was Born in N.Y.
In 1997 he joined C.T.P.P as a staff member and studied under Mitsuo Shindo as an apprentice. In 2002 he became independent.
In 2010 he joined FACTORY1994.
He worked on music videos such as andymori, ONE OK ROCK, 9mm Parabellum Bullet, Ling tosite sigure.
He won the Best Rock Video Award at the MTV VMAJ (Video Music Awards Japan) and became the most influential video artist in the Rock scene.
He has made his debut as a feature film director with DAD’S LUNCH BOX.

To attend the programme, you need a valid exhibition entrance ticket as well as registration.
