Tsagaan Sar | Lunar New Year in Mongolia | LECTURE IN ENGLISH

Ariun Ichinkhorloo (Ari) a Mongolian master's student studying Cultural Heritage Studies at ELTE university is also doing an internship at Hopp Museum. Her research interest is first and foremost Tibetan buddhism and religious art. She has previously worked at The Fine Arts Zanabazar Museum as a guide in Ulaanbaatar for two years, after finishing her bachelor's degree in Art Research at The National University of Mongolia.

In her presentation Ari will talk about how she and her family celebrate the Lunar New Year every year at his grandmother's abode in the countryside, what customs they follow, and what specific traditions Mongolians perform on this occasion.

The language of the lecture is English.
