    In 2023, Hopp Museum celebrates a centenary again, as our first permanent exhibition was opened in 1923. It presented the Chinese, Indian and Japanese collections in a regional and chronological order, with around 1,000 objects on display. To mark this occasion, a series of lectures given by the curators will be held in 2023 to explore Asia from collection to collection. More ❯❯❯

    The book, with an introductory study and notes, is the Hungarian translation of an old Northeast Chinese legend. The story is about a nomadic girl named Sirin. This little girl acquires miraculous abilities with the help of an ancient immortal, and then goes to war instead of her parents to defeat three bandit leaders who torment the tribes of the grassy steppes...

    Activism and literature: literary discussion and reading theater with contemporary Indonesian writer Ayu Utami

    AYU UTAMI (1968–), an Indonesian author and civil rights activist awarded with numerous awards, was born in Bogor, grew up in Jakarta, and studied Russian literature and language at the University of Indonesia. With her first novel, she immediately rose to the forefront of domestic literature, the work prepared the way for an entire new generation of Indonesian feminist writers.
