Introduction to Hopp Museum's collections with the curator. A series of lectures - No. 6 | CHINA
In 2023, Hopp Museum celebrates a centenary again, as our first permanent exhibition was opened in 1923. It presented the Chinese, Indian and Japanese collections in a regional and chronological order, with around 1,000 objects on display. To mark this occasion, a series of lectures given by the curators will be held in 2023 to explore Asia from collection to collection. More ❯❯❯
KIMONO, the Japanese national attire | Lecture and workshop
Dr. Viktória Holló, who gave a lecture on the subject and performed traditional Japanese dances at the Night of Museums, will now hold a small workshop where you will have the opportunity to try on the jukata, the light, summer kimono of the Japanese, and learn about the kimono depictions in the pictures in our current exhibition.
