In 2023, Hopp Museum celebrates a centenary again, as our first permanent exhibition was opened in 1923. It presented the Chinese, Indian and Japanese collections in a regional and chronological order, with around 1,000 objects on display. To mark this occasion, a series of lectures given by the curators will be held in 2023 to explore Asia from collection to collection. More ❯❯❯

Dr. Viktória Holló, who gave a lecture on the subject and performed traditional Japanese dances at the Night of Museums, will now hold a small workshop where you will have the opportunity to try on the jukata, the light, summer kimono of the Japanese, and learn about the kimono depictions in the pictures in our current exhibition. Again, for a day, the Hopp Museum's oriental garden will serve as a picturesque background for beautiful works of applied arts. Objects exhibited by the artists are related to the tea in their material, form or technique, as well as to Japanese artworks on display in Hopp Museum's current temporary exhibition. More ❯❯❯
