    In 2023, Hopp Museum celebrates a centenary again, as our first permanent exhibition was opened in 1923. It presented the Chinese, Indian and Japanese collections in a regional and chronological order, with around 1,000 objects on display.     AYU UTAMI (1968–), an Indonesian author and civil rights activist awarded with numerous awards, was born in Bogor, grew up in Jakarta, and studied Russian literature and language at the University of Indonesia. With her first novel, she immediately rose to the forefront of domestic literature, the work prepared the way for an entire new generation of Indonesian feminist writers.
