The kris (in Indonesian: keris) from Yogyakarta follows the so-called Mataram style. Its silver-plated scabbard bears a master's mark in Javanese script. The pattern on the silver inlaid blade of the dagger (in Indonesian: pamor) is called berah wutah, that is, "scattered grains of rice", and its silhouette (in Indonesian: dapur) forms thirteen waves (in Indonesian: luk), symbolising stability and authority.
